Pastor Casey Chapman
Also during my studies at Liberty I served the Center for Youth Ministries participating in evangelism in the Lynchburg, VA area. I also studied the language of the New Testament, Greek, for over four semesters at Liberty. During my off time at Liberty I personally held Bible Studies from my dorm room mentoring my fellow peers as we together sought to increase our knowledge of, understanding of, and relationship with Jesus Christ.
During my final year at Liberty University I served as a intern at the Lakeview Church of God in Stoneboro, PA. After their pastor resigned I filled in when needed in delivering Sunday services, Bible Studies, and in other areas as needed.
Though I have finished my degree at Liberty University I continue to learn through daily prayer, devotions, and studying of biblical topics and theology. I also learn from the continued mentorship of other pastors.
Not including my 5+ years serving at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA as a prayer leader, evangelizing with Thomas Road Baptist Church, pastored by Johnathan Falwell, and evangelizing with the Center for Youth Ministries, I have been a guest preacher on many occasions. I have preached at events for the Boy Scouts of America, Middle Run Church of God, and Lakeview Church of God and others all on multiple occasions. During the summers in between my time as a Liberty student I was the Head Commissioner of Custaloga Town Scout Reservation leading over 70 staff comprised of youth, middle school students through college students. I have also served as pastor of the Atlantic Community Church for nearly four years, and am beginning service as pastor of Cortland Christian Church in July 2018.
I believe that the Bible is 100% the Word of God and is without error. I have a personal desire in the topic of prayer and believe that one cannot have a close relationship with our Lord and Savior if they are not in daily prayer. I believe that Jesus is the Son of the one and only True God Yahweh. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came and lived a life without sin on this earth, died and rose again so that we may also have newness of life when we call upon Him, believe in Him, His death and resurrection, and confess our sins to Him. I have a desire in fulfilling the Great Commission along with the command given to us in Acts 1:8. I am in compliance with all requirements given in the letters to Timothy and Titus that a overseer, or pastor, must follow.
As a graduate from Liberty University, the world's largest Christian university, I am dedicated to winning souls for Christ. I have received my Bachelors of Science specializing in Pastoral Leadership. During my time at Liberty University I served on Student Leadership as a prayer leader for two years, leading small groups of up to 7 college students weekly. Also during my time at Liberty University I participated in prison ministries with Thomas Road Baptist Church.
